In a world of unfairness and struggles, we all have those days where we just want to punch 10 million pillows. Although that might be your way of calming down, (trust me I do it too.)  I have some things I like to do after a not so fun day.

1. A cup of tea.

We all know the new trend of  “coffee is life” and I don’t judge you coffee is good, but not as good as a cup of tea on a rainy day. Make yourself a cup of your favourite type of yummy tea. (Ms.Earlgrey here) Don’t worry no one will judge you if you add some sugar. Sad days are always cheat days. Rest a little bit. Watch your favourite episode of “Gilmore Girls” while sipping on your sweet tea. No one will see you so relax. Put your hair in a massy bun and wear your comfy oversized sweater. 2. Take a bath

I never really take baths but when calming myself down it’s calling my name. Make a fresh calming bath with lavender essential oil. Make an amazing bubble bath with a lush bubble bar, or a bath bombs that will make your bath look like a fairytale. Light a candle or two, rock out to Sam Smith. Your bath is a place for you and you only. So do YOU.

3. Go on a walk

After a long day of crying, going outside might not be the ideal thing to do. Getting okay looking for just a 10 minute walk might seem dumb to you but trust me it always works. Put on your favourite lip gloss,or reapplying the mascara you cried off. Doing this will make you remember that you have to keep living and although you are sad, mad, unhappy you still have to go on. Listen to you favourite tunes while walking around your neighbourhood. Getting out of your home which is sad and looking at your happy neighbourhood you’ll soon get happy and smily.

4.Talk to your BFF

We all have that friend that you can call when ever. That you can cry with. Call him/her up.  If he/she is your real best friend you can allow yourself to look or sound terrible in front of them. Some times talking to someone you trust about what’s making you unhappy makes you feel better. That can be parents, friends, sister brother, anyone you trust.tumblr_l8h3ugxei41qzcapto1_500

5.Have an emergency dance party

Just like Cath (from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell) have a dance party by yourself.  She rocks out to Kanye but you can rock out to anything. Being a performer I listen to everything, but Purepop from iTunes radio is on my top list. Some times just moving around and making a foul of yourself just makes you laugh and smile.
